Youth Entrepreneurship Program
The Youth Entrepreneur Program is an after school program offered by RNDC. The educational program was designed to teach financial education and entrepreneurship to local students in Dayton, Ohio.
We use innovative techniques and materials to explain basic economic concepts about money and business. Young participants learn about creating a business idea, writing a business plan, starting and managing a business, how to select and purchase products for resale, marketing and managing inventory. Participants incorporate practical skills by running their own school store, managing staff and inventory.
The curriculum includes marketing, financial literacy, activities, reviews and tests, all of which comply with the National Endowment for Financial Education standards and Ohio Department of Education (ODE) financial education standards.
